Turning Technologies featured on Good Morning America

Eyewitness testimony often plays a key role in criminal trials. However, according to Security Analyst and former Secret Service Agent Evy Poumpouras on Friday’s Good Morning America, such observations are frequently unreliable. In fact, citing statistics from the Innocence Project, the segment notes that 71 percent of convictions overturned through DNA testing were based on incorrect eyewitness testimony.

That is striking information, but it can be difficult to engage an audience by simply sharing facts. Instead, our TurningPoint interactive polling software helped this dry statistic come to life for the GMA studio audience and for the millions of viewers watching at home.

After witnessing a staged altercation, audience members used our LCD response clickers to put themselves in the roll of witnesses. Check out the segment here to see how TurningPoint provided the perfect solution to capture and display their answers in real time while creating a memorable and engaging learning experience for everyone involved.
